What actually happens at the airport
You cannot ride a scooter to the terminal door and hand it over there. Ngurah Rai has controlled access, dedicated drop-off lanes for cars and taxis, and no practical place to complete a rental handover in the middle of it.
What works is a meeting point just outside the airport perimeter, agreed in advance over WhatsApp. Tell us your flight number and terminal when you book and we will confirm exactly where to meet. That is a two-minute conversation that saves a lot of standing around with luggage.
Luggage is the real constraint
This is the part people underestimate. A scooter carries one person and a modest bag comfortably. It does not carry two people and two large suitcases, and no amount of optimism changes that.
If you are arriving with full-size luggage, the honest answer is to take a car to your accommodation and have us deliver the bike there instead — same day, still free, and far less stressful than balancing a suitcase on a scooter you have not ridden before, in traffic, possibly at night, possibly jet-lagged.
The PCX160 has the most usable space in our fleet at 30 litres under the seat, which takes a full-face helmet or a soft weekend bag. That is the realistic ceiling.
The toll road has a motorbike lane
Worth knowing: the Bali Mandara toll road has a dedicated motorcycle lane, physically separated from the car lanes and fitted with wind barriers. It costs around Rp 4.000–5.000 for a motorbike, with a speed limit of 25–40 km/h, and it links the Benoa and Nusa Dua side to the airport.
It is genuinely useful if you are staying in Nusa Dua, Benoa or Jimbaran. Coming from Canggu or Seminyak it is not on your natural route — the bypass is the way.
Timing and conditions
The roads around the airport carry constant transfer traffic and it is heaviest in the late afternoon and evening. If you have a flight to catch, leave far earlier than the map suggests.
Riding here at night after a long flight is the single most common way visitors get into trouble in Bali. Unfamiliar bike, unfamiliar roads, heavy traffic, tired. If your flight lands late, take a car and start riding in the morning.

The PCX160 for the storage and the comfortable seat, or the NMAX Neo if you value the more planted feel at speed on the bypass. Both are far better suited to this run than the smaller retro bikes.

Honestly, no. The exit road joins a fast multi-lane bypass immediately, and it is a demanding first ride after a long flight — especially if you have never ridden on the left. Take a taxi and start the next morning.
